Now for the exciting news! We’ve expanded our services and have an immediate opening for a Traffic Design Engineer-In-Training (EIT). This is the perfect opportunity for someone with a few years of experience and their EIT or EI certification who is looking to take the next step in their career. In this role, you will collaborate with our principals and project managers on a mix of traffic design and traffic operations projects throughout the pacific northwest.
What You’ll Do
Assist in the design of traffic engineering projects such as signing/striping, traffic control plans, traffic signals, street lighting, ITS, etc.
Assist in the preparation of PS&E under the guidance of licensed engineers
Conduct field reviews and data collection to support design and analysis
Support projects by performing traffic impact studies, corridor studies, and safety analysis, and utilize software tools to perform traffic impact analysis modelling
Stay current with local, state, and federal design standards and guidelines
Who You Are
Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering from an ABET-accredited program
At least 2 years of relevant traffic or transportation engineering experience
EIT certification and working toward obtaining PE licensure.
Experience in utilizing AutoCAD, MicroStation, Civil 3D, Synchro, AGi, or other related tools
Effective written and verbal communication skills.
Ability to juggle multiple deadlines, stay organized, and keep projects moving efficiently.
Takes ownership of delivering high-quality work on time and within budget.
A strong team player who thrives in a collaborative, multi-disciplinary environment.
