At AKS, we are growing and building for the future. We bring together multidisciplined experts across the land development, energy, and infrastructure markets to take on bigger challenges and deliver solutions that make a real difference. Our teams combine creativity, technical excellence, and a collaborative, hands-on approach to solve complex problems and deliver results our clients and communities can count on. We take pride in our work and our ability to provide opportunities for our teams, support each other’s growth, and look ahead to what’s next. When you join AKS, you will find opportunities to take ownership of meaningful projects, learn, lead, and make an impact from day one.
You’ll step into a high-impact recruiting role supporting AKS offices across the Western U.S., with a primary focus on growth roles throughout the company. This is an opportunity to partner closely with technical and business leaders, run a clean and consistent hiring process, and play a meaningful role in shaping how AKS scales and develops future consultants. If you enjoy consulting with hiring managers, building trust, and closing top-tier talent in competitive markets, this role offers the chance to make a broad and lasting impact.
What You’ll Do
- Own full-cycle recruiting for our Las Vegas office with a strong focus on roles supporting renewable energy construction projects.
- Partner closely with hiring managers to run a consistent, structured hiring process, driving clarity in requirements, alignment in interviews, and accountability through every stage.
- Develop and execute targeted sourcing strategies to attract technical talent within the A/E/C or renewable energy sectors.
- Act as a true consultant to the business by providing market insights, advising on interview structure, influencing decisions, and ensuring a great candidate experience.
- Drive offer strategy, negotiations, and candidate closing with a focus on urgency, alignment, and transparency.
- Maintain accurate, timely data and workflows within our ATS while communicating clearly with your hiring partners.
Who You Are
- 3+ years of full-cycle recruiting experience, ideally supporting technical teams. Familiarity with renewable A/E/C, energy, or construction sectors is strongly preferred.
- A consultative recruiter who can advise hiring managers, push back when needed, and guide teams toward strong, structured decision-making.
- You have a "Do what needs to be done" mindset, taking ownership beyond assigned tasks and stepping in wherever needed to keep projects, teams, and customers supported and running smoothly.
- Consistent in how you run searches. You are organized, methodical, and able to manage multiple roles while keeping momentum high.
- A strong communicator who prioritizes candidate experience and knows how to keep talent engaged and moving through the funnel.
- A skilled closer who can navigate competitive markets, manage expectations, and land candidates effectively.
- Proficient with ATS systems. Greenhouse experience is a plus.
Nice to Have
- Experience recruiting for civil EIT, surveyors, and construction managers.
- Agency or staffing experience with demonstrated ability to build pipelines from scratch.
- Familiarity with compensation structures, offers, and negotiation strategies in technical or construction-related fields.
